Kairo Soccer Training is a coed program that provides a positive introductory soccer experience for children aged 8 to 12 years, around Mishawaka/South Bend, Indiana, and other surrounding areas. Our experienced coaches use fun-centered practices that bring kids together to learn life skills while building a strong team spirit. We provide weekly training programs and participate in weekend games for two age groups: 8–9 years old and 10–12 years old, during spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Our Background
The program was established in 2023 in Mishawaka, Indiana, by Billy Nelson Makombola, a US Licensed Grassroots coach and former
Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Soccer League coach. It is named after a small community known as "Kairo"
in Blantyre, Malawi, where Billy grew up with a passion for the game.
That passion was reignited when he volunteered as a coach for an 8–9-year-old team in the Mishawaka Parks and Recs Soccer League.
Inspired by his experience, he established Kairo Soccer Training, aiming to create a fun, soccer-centered program
for children around Mishawaka/South Bend, Indiana, and surrounding areas.
Global Impact
Kairo Soccer Training is proud to be a friend and supporter of Kairo Sporting Foundation in Malawi.
A portion of the program’s proceeds helps sponsor the foundation’s initiatives, providing soccer gear,
training opportunities, and
youth development programs to underserved communities in Malawi.
Through this connection, we are not only nurturing young athletes
in Indiana but also empowering future soccer stars in Africa.

Program Details
Registration: Parents or guardians must complete a registration form and payment.
Training & Games: Locations are shared before the start of each soccer season.
One-on-One Training: Available based on coach availability.

Billy serves as Kairo’s Managing Director and Head Coach.
He holds a US Grassroots Soccer Coaching License and has over five years of coaching experience,
including two consecutive seasons coaching in the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Soccer League.
Billy has a leadership background which brings in a positive standard for the program’s development,
discipline and character among the children.
